Annual Remembrance service

The Chairman Central Mosque of Brent Dr Raja Amjid Riaz attended the Annual Remembrance service held at Barn Hill Park in London Borough of Brent. 

The commemoration service was led by Deputy Lieutenant of Brent Mei Sim Lai and Mayor of Brent Councillor Tariq Dar, Leader Brent Council Mohammad Butt, Chief Executive Kim Wright, councillors the Armed forces cadets, scouts and prominent members of the community were joined with the public. Commemorative Wreaths were laid and Dr Riaz laid a wreath on behalf of the Central Mosque of Brent. 

Dr Raja Amjid Riaz said that it was important that the contribution of the Muslim community from around the world was represented and that the next generation should understand the sacrifice of those brave individuals from all parts of the world from all religions and cultures and colour  who worked together to secure our freedom. Deputy Lieutenant of Brent Mei Sim Lai remembered all those who had given the  ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. 

The event united the whole community which came together on this very important occasion.
