A huge thanks from The Central Mosque of Brent to Nazia Ali and the Brent Health Matters team for a very informative and important talk on “Bowel Cancer and NHS Screening test” which was attended by over 200 members of the community.
The huge community engagement today on this very important topic was great to see.
In summary
Symptoms of Bowel Cancer;
1. A change in your bowel habit
2. Blood in your poo
3. abdominal pain and bloating
4. weight loss
5. excessive tiredness Nd no I energy
If you have any of these symptoms which last for longer than 2 weeks then see your GP.
Screening
Everyone in the UK over the age of 50 registered with a GP will be sent a test through the post. If you have not receive a test please call 0800-7076060 and request a test.
